Traumeel receives two Alive awards for 2011!

For the 9th consecutive year, Traumeel was awarded the 2011 Gold award from Alive magazine in the catagory of homeopathic products.Traumeel was also awarded the 2011 Bronze award in the catagory of Consumer's Choice-Herbal & Homeopathic Products. This was Traumeel's first award in this category.
The Alive Awards promote and recognize outstanding product innovation while enhancing the credibility of natural health products in Canada. Since 1994, these prestigious gold,silver, and bronze awards have been presented to manufacturers of the best consumer products in a variety of natural health catagories.
Research supports Multitarget Approach to Alzheimer’s

Heel presented the latest preclinical research on a multitarget medication based on low dose natural substances that has proven to positively influence both symptoms as well as disease-related mechanisms of Alzheimer's at the Neuroscience convention in Washington from November12-16 2011. Testing was evaluted on a medication using a combination of several natural substances in low doses. Initial studies indicated strong effects on cognitive functions.
“We are fascinated by the results“, says Dr. Bernd Seilheimer, Head of Bioregulatory Development at Heel. “This homeopathically prepared medication leads to significant changes in the gene networks associated with synaptic function and plasticity. It significantly reduces the gene expression of APP and BACE, responsible for the formation of β-amyloid plaques which hallmark Alzheimer’s disease. Upon treatment, axons of neurons even grew faster and longer than under saline control conditions.”
Currently, there is no preventive or curative therapy available today for Alzheimer’s. The few available drugs offer only limited symptomatic benefit.
